Hearing from God, in July 2016, the leaders of PowaiConnect, under the leadership and the commissioning of the parent church, stepped out to plant a church in Powai.

While waiting on God, He revealed a strategy, to multiply from the 1 existing Connect Group to 4 Connect Groups. By July 2020, 4 years from the first Sunday Meet that PowaiConnect had in Powai, this missional community multiplied to 4 Connect Groups.

Having reached the milestone God had placed on their hearts, the church plant prepared to launch the church it desired to be. Given its intentionality of reaching Neighbourhoods, the church was incorporated as a legal entity under the provisions of the Companies Act, in May 2021 with the name, Your Neighbourhood Church Association.

In July 2021, having completed 5 years as a church plant, the leadership began the transition of the church from PowaiConnect to Your Neighbourhood Church.

Our Story is part of God’s grand story, so there’s so much more ahead. Our Desire for the future, is drawn from His desire.
